How We Prepare and Ship Your Order
At Ukrainian Smokehouse, every item is made to order in a licensed retail kitchen. We are not a USDA-inspected facility, which means we prepare small-batch, handcrafted foods with care — not mass-produced inventory.
Most items are cooked or packed only after your order is received, to ensure maximum freshness. A few cured meats and sausages may be available in limited quantities due to their long preparation process.
Please allow 1–2 business days for preparation after placing your order. This preparation time is in addition to the delivery estimate.
We partner with UPS and other couriers to schedule shipments on the most optimal days, avoiding weekends and minimizing transit time to reduce spoilage risk.
Shipping Methods, Recommendations and Carrier Disclaimer
Because our products are perishable, we strongly recommend the following shipping options:
In some cases, UPS Ground or 3-Day Select may be suitable — but only within close regional delivery zones.
If you are unsure, we encourage you to contact us before placing your order to determine the safest and most efficient shipping option for your location.
We use insulated packaging with ice packs to maintain safe temperatures during transit.
Please note: While we always prepare and ship orders with great care, we are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier (e.g. UPS).
Weather events, routing errors, and other internal factors may affect transit times.
Delivery windows shown at checkout (including expedited services like UPS Next Day or 2nd Day Air) are estimates provided by the carrier and not guaranteed.
Once the package leaves our hands, it becomes the responsibility of the carrier. We’re happy to assist with tracking or initiating claims if needed, but we cannot refund or replace orders for delays that are outside our control.
Returns and Customer Support
Due to the perishable nature of our food, we are unable to accept returns.
However, we stand behind every order. If your delivery is delayed by more than 2 business days beyond the expected arrival date due to a carrier issue, we will reship your order at no additional cost.
